Firm

Choate Law was started with the intent of making an exceptional law firm dedicated to the representation of employees.  Therefore, the firm limits its practice to the representation of employees and does not represent employers.  The firm provides responsive and assertive representation for each client through its communication, approach, and focus on teamwork.

Clients receive frequent updates on communications with defense counsel, agency officials, witnesses, and the court, and the status of their case, many times out side of regular business hours so as to not interfere with clients who are employed in tenuous situations.
Clients' work schedules are further accommodated by scheduling appointments during evening hours, early mornings, and on weekends.

Clients are educated on the law and how it applies to their specific facts, with a thorough explanation of what options are available.  The attorney then guides clients through the process of selecting the best option available.  If our client desires it, the lawyer can limit her role to analyzing problems, offering advice, drafting letters and agreements for the client's signature, and, in general, remaining in the background to achieve a less confrontational negotiation process. We do not, however, shy away from fully representing our client's interests. We are available to directly represent a client in contract or settlement negotiations; and, when appropriate, we will aggressively litigate against an employer in Illinois or federal court.

Choate Law values clients' input and works closely with clients throughout their representation.  Clients are welcome to call with questions and to review their files.  The firm places a premium on collaboration and cooperation to achieve a successful resolution of each client's matter.  Teamwork with clients is essential to the successful resolution of clients' claims.  Together, we work towards a common goal: the best results for each client.
